Why do I need to confirm my email on signup?

This is strictly to prevent forum abuse. Although it's not perfect (nothing is, of course), it does helps to prevent certain types of malicious users from abusing the forums.

Posting Links

Why can't I post links in messages?

To prevent abuse, new users cannot post links in the forums. After 30 days, accounts should automatically gain the ability of posting links. Alternatively, if you are a new user but you have been very active in the forums, you might be able to request a moderator to allow you to post links early.

Which smileys (emoticons) can I use?

Content Filter

Is there a way to filter profane content?

Yes, the forums include a basic content filter. However, keep in mind that no content filter is perfect, so if you notice a discrepancy, please let us know and we'll fix it asap.

You can enable the content filter in your account settings.

Upload Pictures

How do I upload a picture?

Click on the Upload Image link at the top of the page. Clicking the Upload Picture link will allow you to select and upload the image. To use the image in the forums, copy and paste the [pic:......] code in your list of images into your forum post.
